This rattlesnake tagging adventure was arranged by Scott Moats at the Broken Kettle Grasslands in the Loess Hills just 10 miles north of Sioux City. Herbitologist Dan Fogell did the tagging of the snakes and kept everyone smiling throughout the several miles of walking in 90+ degree humid weather on a Sunday afternoon. This pregnant female was our first find of the day and had previously been tagged by Dan on an earlier outing.
