On 25 March 2006 a group of about 30 educators from the Heidelberg School District travelled into France to wlk the battlefields that our grandfathers fought on during WWI. My grandfather, Private First Class Ray E. Chambers, was a member of the 314th Ammunition Train, Company D, 89th Division of the American Expeditionary Force from 1917 to 1918. Pictured here are the battlefields in France he carried ammunition to during that war.
